Operation Pollinator
Our estate is part of Operation Pollinator, a project created by Syngenta for the multifunctional management of the territory.
The aim of the project is to prove that productive agriculture and a living environment rich in biodiversity can coexist, with a view to observing a more sustainable farming system.
To this end, tangible solutions have been identified to transform the borders of the cultivated fields into new habitats and to guarantee food sources for the pollinators, increasing the number of species present and the size of the populations in the areas cultivated.
A more balanced management of the territory and defence of biodiversity determine significant advantages for the ecosystem, but also for farming. A significant increase in soil fertility and an improvement in the hydric balance, both of which are essential in viticulture, have been found.
