The archives of the Municipality of Monteu Roero say that Giovanni Dominico Negro, son of Audino… was owner, in the same area which now houses the Perdaudin estate with its prestigious vineyards, of a house with an oven, a yard, cellar and vines
1909
Angelo Negro, known as “Angelin”, was born in the Perdaudin farmhouse (the old “Poddio di Audino”)
1946
Angelo Negro, “Angelin”, began making Nebbiolo and Barbera
1947
Angelo Negro married Gertrude Ferrero, known as “Dina”
1949
They had two sons, Giovanni and Bernardino Negro
1964
Angelo Negro bought the “Pasquali” motorised cultivator, the Negro estate’s first tractor
1970
Work began on the house and cellar in Sant’Anna, a hamlet of Monteu Roero
1971
Giovanni Negro vinified a “dry” Arneis for the first time
1975
Gabriele Negro was born. Giovanni participated in the wine fair at the Medieval Castle of Turin, in the Parco del Valentino
1976
Angelo Negro was born, as was the “Negro” label, still used today, with one or two slight adjustments
1979
Emanuela Negro was born
The Eighties
The farm was extended; new vineyards were planted; Giovanni Negro took part in important fairs in the sector, at national and international level
1983
Giuseppe Negro was born, and so was the first vintage of Perdaudin Arneis
1985
Our first Roero Arneis Classic Method, “Giovanni Negro”, was born
The Nineties
The estate expanded and some symbolic labels were created (Sudisfà, Basarin)
2000
The first steps were taken in the Barbaresco area, at Vigna Basarin in Neive
2004
Our first Nebbiolo Classic Method, “Maria Elisa Rosé”, was born
2009
New plantation of Vigna Ciabot San Giorgio
2012
The first steps were taken in the Barolo zone, in Serralunga d’Alba
